In the gallery of the Cultural Center Stevan Mokranjac, as one of the accompanying programs 59. In mokranjac's days, the exhibition "gathering" of the excellent fine artist Dr UM was opened. Milete Prodanovic from Belgrade.
After the introductory speech of Milan Radosavljevic, the editor of the art program of the negotin Cultural Center, Danica Prodanovic addressed the visitors, who, speaking about the creativity of her husband, said, among other things,:
"This is a kind of mini retrospective of Mileta Prodanovic from the period of thirty years, since 1995. by 2025. years. These are paintings from several cycles of "Darkness", "the writing hand" and "Rolling Skies – wrapping the heavens", and finally drawings that have been created over the last five years. The exhibited retrospect represents Mileta at different stages of his creativity. Throughout his life he dealt with, and dealt with, different things. Mileta is an active painter, published more than ten books of fiction and fiction, went through all teaching positions at the Faculty of Fine Arts, and eventually went to retirement, as rector of art at the University of Belgrade. His interests are very wide and these last drawings most resemble some kind of manuscript, to a large extent a note record, so I think it is very good that within the "Mokranjac days" these drawings are also presented.“
The exhibition "compaction" makes an arc that connects the themes that the artist dealt with, from those that deal with the demanding "non-themes" of painting such as darkness, quotes and prefigures that speak with language taken from tradition about contemporary social themes, ending with aestheticized, repetitive images of the heavenly vault that are wrapped up by announcing the terrible judgment. The latest works, pencil drawings in color summarize all these themes, leaving the viewer to grasp the meaning through his imagination.
